Winter Barbecue Brunch @ Ignite – Bar and Grills, Courtyard Marriott

Don’t you like to laze around on a cold Sunday morning?

Well, definitely, I like my Sundays to be lazy. Hot and delicious food accompanied by chilled beers or some soothing cocktails.

Waking up from the Saturday night hangover definitely calls for some detox and some good food which will satisfy your tummy.

Definitely you will search for places serving some lip smacking brunch.

Here I am sharing my view of a similar lazy Sunday brunch which I cherished at Ignite – Bar & Grills, Courtyard by Marriott, Hinjewadi.

No words can describe the lovely ambiance the place has. Outside seating where the cold wind blows where you can relish some of their signature cocktails made by their brilliant Mixologist Mr Sachin.

You can also sit in the private cabanas with your gang and enjoy their drinks &delicacies. They have a live concert area which generally operates in the evening.

Also the service is pretty fast and the staff is very courteous and helpful.

We were greeted with Watermelon Caprioska which was a vodka based drink with bite sized watermelon and soda mixture. #Recommended

The Thickler came next which had orange bitters, spices and spice infused whiskey as base. This drink was simply genius. One of the best cocktail I have ever had. #HighlyHighlyRecommended

Wonder made to the table now. This had typical rosemary, gin, sugarcane syrup and some tonic water. Definitely thumbs up to the drink.

Spiced Mojito was the last one to make it to our table. Curry Leaves in the drink gave a nice punch to its taste. #HighlyRecommended

To start off we were served with platters.

Veg. Platter:

Gun powdered cottage cheese bites, Galouti Kebab, Mushrooms, onion rings, fries were few items in the platter.

Cottage cheese bites were the show stealer. Mushrooms tasted good, Galouti Kebab needs improvement while their dips (tomato relish, pineapple) were yum.

Non-veg Platter:

It had Seafood Fish Cake, Prawns, Mutton Kebab, Chicken wings, onion rings and fries. I liked the Seafood fish cake where Basa fish was used. It was delicious. Chicken wings were good and Prawns were decent. Dips were accompanied here as well.

For both the platters onion rings and fries were same, crispy and delectable.

We asked for deliciously good BBQ Pineapple separately which are highly recommended to have.

After this humongous spread we were almost full but that was just trailer as the movie was about to begin.

Yes, Main Course it is now. They have various options to choose from the grills according to what you like be it veg or non-veg.

First option was Piri Piri Chicken. Man, this was amazing. A perfect dish for the BBQ spread. It was super delicious and had little sour after taste.

Pork Sausages were next on the list. You just cannot afford to miss those luscious sausages while you are here. They were tasty, juicy and rich in flavours.

Here came the Jamaican Jerk Chicken. The combination of various tastes to the chicken made it a must have. You can feel the smoky flavour while eating it as it was burnt to perfection for taste. Proper seasonings, flavours and taste in the chicken will result in you asking for more of these.

Now it was time for some fish. Recheado Fish was on their list of choices. It was prepared in Red Masala to perfection. You couldn’t ask for anything more than this. Fish was perfectly cooked and very fresh.

Everyone surely keeps place for some Desserts. And the dessert at ignite, well, you cannot even think of missing them.

We were given four ice-creams, Red Wine, Dark Chocolate, Guava Chilli and Malai Kulfi.

Red Wine and Dark chocolate I relished it till I found licking the dessert bowl. Malai kulfi had the authentic kulfi taste and Guava chilli is in trend these days and yes it was good in taste as well.

Left to Right clockwise: Dark Chocolate, Malai Kulfi, Red Wine and Guava Chilli

The main thing I loved was the rate at which they were providing this entire menu. They have two packages, 1200 plus taxes which includes unlimited BBQ starters and booze while 1500 plus taxes include unlimited BBQ food and Booze.
