Life in a big city like Pune is electrifying, exciting and ever dynamic. However, there are times when the hustle and bustle of city life can get to your nerves. But the best part about this city is that you always have a place to go and relax your bones.
Being surrounded by the spectacular Western Ghats, there are numerous weekend getaways begging to be visited every odd weekend. But for workaholics like me who need to work while relaxing, Courtyard Marriott is the best option. You can work while enjoying your getaway with your family and friends.
Being situated in the industrial area of Chakan Courtyard offers unparalleled services and hospitality.
Almost an hour drive from the main city Courtyard Marriot caters to your work along with play needs. The hotel has plush green gardens on all sides which set a soothing tone to the eye after a long day in front of the laptop. They have a beautiful lounge area overlooking the gardens. You can just take a glass and roam around the lounge or just enjoy a sunrise or sunset before u can get bored. The concierge staff is very courteous and helpful in helping you with your needs.
They have comfortable rooms equipped with all the necessities. We had the deluxe room, during my first visit, which was quite decent. They had a mini bar stocked along with some chips and biscuits.
Well, for the second time, it was suite. A large hall equipped with 2 big sofas, Refrigerator, Microwave oven and a big LED TV. Also, small bathroom was attached to the living room.
Inside was the luxurious bedroom attached was a lavish bathroom which was huge. It had big bath-tub sufficient for a single person bath.
Free unlimited Wi-Fi (for members only) allows you to stay on top of work.
They also have a beautiful pool where you can enjoy with your loved ones and sunbathe on the recliner chairs and get on some tan! For the fitness freaks, they also have a fitness center with all the gym equipment’s. When we went for our stay there was a wedding being organized in the very same premises. They had arranged various parties and the lawn area was beautifully decorated. The guests looked happy which means they did a good job! 😉
MoMo café, their in-house restaurant has variety of food to offer you. I reached late to the location, it was dinner time and I was hungry. So, without wasting time we ordered food.
Fodnicha bhat served with dahi, Dal Tadka, Roti and Rasmalai was up for grab for dinner.
Though Fodnicha bhat didn’t live up to our expectations, dal tadka took us to heaven and Rasmalai took us to cloud 9. It was the most delicious Rasmalai I have had in recent times.
After some lip-smacking meal we talked for hours and finally dozed off in our dreams waiting for the better tomorrow.
And finally, we woke up after having a good night sleep in the cozy bed of our suite. Followed by the lavish bath in the bath tub was delicious breakfast waiting for us.
For breakfast, we had a variety to choose from an assorted menu of veg, egg and non-veg buffet:
It was served with Sev. It was hot and fresh and tasted good. Not too much oil, not very less.
I am a south Indian fan, so for me Idli is always a welcome delight. The Idlis were soft and fluffy. The coconut chutney was fresh and tasted yummy. The sambar was also nice and went well with the coconut chutney.
This was like medu wada except for its size. Its smaller size made it easy to eat. They were hot and crispy just how I like it. It went well with the sambar.
This was delicious. The thin paneer filling in the paratha was delicious. Also, it was not very hot which made it easy to eat without burning my tongue
This was a bit disappointing. The paratha was completely cold and the outer covering had become hard. It was difficult to chew. Also, taste wise it did not satisfy my taste buds.
The dhokla I felt was stale. It was nor fluffy nor moist. Did not enjoy it.
This was also not fresh. I guess it must have been prepared some time before we arrived which is why it was cold and the outer edges had started to harden. Another no no for breakfast!
They had kept a variety of cereals like cornflakes, chocos, muesli, oats etc. They had provided milk to go with the cereals.
This was an absolute delight. Freshly prepared juice ran like an energy booster through my veins! Loved every bit of it.
This was delicious. The juice was made without sugar which enhanced the flavor of the fruit in the juice.
They also had a variety of other juices for health freaks like Amla juice, wheat juice, etc. They had also kept water in a big copper vessel for the old schools. The breakfast menu also included other items like bacon, chicken salami, chicken salad and sprouts.
The Courtyard Marriot is an ideal place for people who like to maintain a work life balance. It is the perfect getaway idea while still being able to be on top of work. It provides you with all the amenities so that you can finish work and have fun in style.
Thank you to Sutapa Das, Bhakti Kenjale for sending the invite and Team Courtyard by Marriott Pune Chakan for hosting us.
